SATURDAY’S FOOD TIP

I love puff pastry. It’s so easy to work with and can be used to create many delicious appetizers and snacks. Try these easy but elegant hors d’oeuvres.

1 pkg. frozen puff pastry
1 pkg. Three Angels Divine Dill Dip Mix made with cream cheese and crushed pineapple
Flutted cookie cutters in a variety of shapes

Thaw puff pastry. Roll out slightly with a rolling pin. Cut out dough with cookie cutters. Bake at 400 degrees until puffed and golden. Remove from oven, cool, and cut each shape in half to make two layers. Spread each shape with the dill dip mixture. Top with chopped nuts and chopped parsley.

Here’s a simple recipe for Pesto Elephant Ears that would be perfect snacks for New Year’s Eve. Instead of the pesto, I make them with our Sun-Blessed Tomato Herb Dip Mix made with cream cheese. Yum.
